Tour and Dinner

The bus tour will include stops at:

• Lagoa do Fogo (Lake of Fire) viewing point overlooking the crater lake within the Água de Pau Massif volcano in the center of the island of São Miguel.

• Miradouro de Santa Iria: A scenic viewing point overlooking the north coast of the island.

• Gorreana tea plantation and factory for tea tasting.

• Miradouro do Pico de Ferro: A scenic viewing point overlooking the volcanic crater that forms the valley of Furnas, surrounded by dense vegetation, with volcanic activity in the form of fumaroles. The Lake of Furnas sits within the valley of Furnas.

• Terra Nostra Garden: Botanical garden in the valley of Furnas with many volcanic springs.

• Final stop at the Hotel Terra Nostra where the tradicional "Cozido da Caldeira" will be served. The  meat and vegetables are slowly cooked in the ground with natural volcano heat.
